Turkish Policy Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in October 29, 2010 in Washington, D.C. We strive for a Turkey with a well-functioning democracy, transparency, rule of law, secularism, sustainable economic development, a respectable record of human rights and an inclusive society.
EVENTS
TURKEY IN 2020 WITH SEDAT BOZKURT AND YURTER OZCAN
On Oct. 30th, 2019, we hosted journalist Mr. Sedat Bozkurt and CHP US Representative Mr. Yurter Ozcan at The National Press Club to discuss the political dynamics of Turkey and what 2020 looks like for the country.

CELEBRATION OF THE REPUBLIC DAY WITH MR. ISMAIL SAYMAZ
On Oct. 29th, 2018, we celebrated the founding of the Turkish Republic by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk with two separate events in The National Press Club Washington, DC and New York City.
Award-winning journalist Mr. Ismail Saymaz introduced his new book "Kimsesizler Cumhuriyeti" and discussed the current state of Turkey, being an investigative journalist in the current political climate and answered questions from the audience.

MAY 19TH COMMEMORATION OF ATATURK, YOUTH AND SPORTS DAY 2018
On May 19th, 2018, we celebrated the 99th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's landing in Samsun that marked the beginning of the War of Independence. Hundreds of fellow Turkish Americans joined us in our two panels in NYU School of Law and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
After talking about the significance of the day, and what Ataturk's biggest legacy; the Republic means for him, Mr. Saymaz concluded the events by signing his three most recent books for the audience.

ELECTIONS PANEL WITH JOURNALIST YILMAZ POLAT & CHP US REPRESENTATIVE YURTER OZCAN
On May 12, 2018, we held a panel at the prestigious Willard Building with the respected Washington-based journalist Yilmaz Polat and Republican People's Party (CHP) US Representative Yurter Ozcan.
After discussing the June elections and the political future of Turkey with Mr. Ozcan, Mr. Polat went on to sign his books for the audience.
